AN ACT CONCERNING TEACHER CERTIFICATION RECIPROCITY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 166 of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
State Board of Education to issue professional certification to any 2
teacher who is certified in another state, including the District of 3
Columbia. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To address the teacher shortage in the state by allowing qualified
teachers from other states to obtain Connecticut certification more
efficiently.
