AN ACT REQUIRING HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR
EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 700c of the general statutes be amended to require 1
individual and group health insurance policies to provide coverage for 2
emergency medical services, regardless of whether the covered person 3
is transported when medically necessary by ambulance to a hospital. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To require individual and group health insurance policies to provide
coverage for emergency medical services, regardless of whether the
covered person is transported when medically necessary by ambulance
to a hospital.
