AN ACT CONCERNING PREVAILING WAGE THRESHOLDS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That subsection (h) of section 31-53 of the general statutes be 1
amended to (1) increase the total cost threshold for remodeling, 2
refinishing, refurbishing, rehabilitation, alteration or repair of any 3
public works project from one hundred thousand dollars to five 4
hundred thousand dollars, and (2) require the total cost threshold for 5
both new construction and remodeling, refinishing, refurbishing, 6
rehabilitation, alteration or repair of any public works project to be 7
indexed annually to reflect the rate of inflation. 8
Statement of Purpose:
To increase the total cost threshold for certain public works projects and
require such threshold to be indexed annually to reflect the rate of
inflation.
