AN ACT REQUIRING A TWO -THIRDS VOTE OF THE GENERAL
ASSEMBLY TO CREATE OR EXPAND UNFUNDED MANDATES TO
MUNICIPALITIES AND SCHOOL DISTRICTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That subsection (d) of section 2-32b of the general statutes be 1
amended to require a two-thirds vote of each chamber of the General 2
Assembly to enact legislation to create or expand an unfunded mandate 3
to a municipality or school district. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To require a two-thirds vote of each chamber of the General Assembly
to enact legislation to create or expand an unfunded mandate to a
municipality or school district.
