AN ACT CONCERNING SUSTAINABLE ZONING PRACTICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to (1) simplify any local 1
permitting process concerning natural infrastructure projects such as 2
dune restoration or living shorelines projects, (2) encourage 3
municipalities to adopt sustainable zoning practices in order to mitigate 4
flood risks, and (3) provide technical assistance for any municipality to 5
incorporate resiliency measures into local planning. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To encourage the development of natural infrastructure projects,
sustainable zoning practices and resiliency measures.
