23 | 23 | That section 19a-491c of the general statutes be amended to require 1 | |
24 | 24 | that each long-term care facility, prior to extending an offer of 2 | |
25 | 25 | employment to, or entering into a contract for the provision of long-term 3 | |
26 | 26 | care services with, any individual, or prior to allowing any individual 4 | |
27 | 27 | to begin volunteering at such long-term care facility, require that such 5 | |
28 | 28 | individual submit to a background search, regardless of whether such 6 | |
29 | 29 | individual will have direct access to patients or residents. 7 | |

32 | 32 | volunteers of long-term care facilities to submit to background checks. |
