ZAWISTOWSKI, 61 st Dist. AN ACT CONCERNING THE DISCHARGE OF CONTAMINATED WATER INTO THE CONNECTICUT RIVER BY MASSACHUSETTS - BASED ENTITIES. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of 1 Energy and Environmental Protection to study and create a report 2 concerning the discharge of contaminated water by Massachusetts-3 based entities into the Connecticut River and require said agency to 4 issue a recommendation to the Attorney General on bringing legal 5 action against Massachusetts for the remediation, discontinuance and 6 prevention of such discharges. 7 Statement of Purpose: To stop the state of Massachusetts from allowing the discharge of pollutants into the Connecticut River.
