AN ACT REQUIRING MINIMUM WAGE COMPENSATION FOR ALL
JURORS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 51-247 of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
state to pay each juror the state minimum wage for time in jury service 2
not otherwise paid by the juror's employer. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To require the state minimum wage be paid for jury service to ensure
equity and fairness in the jury system.
