AN ACT CONCERNING BENCHMARKING MEDICAID PAYMENT RATES TO EIGHTY PER CENT OF CORRESPONDING MEDICARE RATES AND ADDING WORK AND TIME LIMIT REQUIREMENTS FOR THE HUSKY D HEALTH PROGRAM. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to (1) benchmark 1 Medicaid provider rates to eighty per cent of corresponding Medicare 2 rates, and (2) direct the Commissioner of Social Services to apply for a 3 Section 1115 waiver under the Social Security Act for the purpose of 4 adding work and time limit requirements to remain eligible for 5 Medicaid coverage under the HUSKY D health program for 6 nonpregnant, low-income adults who are age eighteen to sixty-four, 7 inclusive. 8 Statement of Purpose: To increase Medicaid payment rates, reduce state costs and foster efficacy and better outcomes for the HUSKY D health program.
