AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF THE COSTS AND BENEFITS OF 
EXPANDING STATE-FUNDED ASSISTED LIVING SERVICES. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require the 1 
Commissioner of Social Services to study the costs and benefits of 2 
expanding state-funded assisted living services for persons who qualify 3 
for the state-funded Connecticut home-care program for the elderly but 4 
do not qualify for Medicaid. 5 
Statement of Purpose:   
To enhance the range of options for housing and support services for 
elderly persons.
