AN ACT REQUIRING A STUDY OF AUTOMOBILE LIABILITY INSURANCE LAWS IN NEIGHBORING STATES. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to require that the 1 Insurance Department (1) conduct a study evaluating automobile 2 liability insurance laws in neighboring states, including, but not limited 3 to, issues relating to coverage and practices to lower automobile liability 4 insurance premiums, and (2) submit a report of the findings of such 5 study to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having 6 cognizance of matters relating to insurance. 7 Statement of Purpose: To require that the Insurance Department (1) conduct a study evaluating automobile liability insurance laws in neighboring states, including, but not limited to, issues relating to coverage and practices to lower automobile liability insurance premiums, and (2) submit a report of the findings of such study to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to insurance.
