AN ACT CONCERNING REQUIREMENTS FOR LEGISLATIVE
APPROVAL OF THE COMBINED PUBLIC BENEFITS CHARGE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to (1) remove any charge 1
included in the charges collectively called the "Combined Public 2
Benefits Charge" from electric bills for end use customers of each electric 3
distribution company unless such charge is approved by the General 4
Assembly, and (2) require that any such future charge be implemented 5
only upon the affirmative vote of the General Assembly. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To repeal any component of the Combined Public Benefits Charge not
approved by the General Assembly and require future charges be
approved by the General Assembly.
