| 21 | 21 | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General | |

| 24 | 24 | That each state agency be required to evaluate the costs of collecting 1 | |
| 25 | 25 | each tax and fee such agency administers and report its findings to the 2 | |
| 26 | 26 | finance, revenue and bonding committee, which shall raise a bill to 3 | |
| 27 | 27 | eliminate all taxes and fees for which the cost of collection exceeds the 4 | |
| 28 | 28 | revenue received by the state from the imposition of such tax or fee. 5 | |
| 29 | 29 | Statement of Purpose: | |
| 30 | 30 | To require each state agency to evaluate the collection costs of taxes and | |
| 31 | 31 | fees administered and to eliminate any tax or fee for which the cost of | |
| 32 | 32 | collection exceeds the revenue received by the state from the imposition | |
| 33 | 33 | of such tax or fee. |
