AN ACT REDEFINING "PEACE OFFICER" TO INCLUDE LOCAL FIRE
MARSHALS, DEPUTY FIRE MARSHALS AND FIRE INSPECTORS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 53a-3 of the general statutes be amended to redefine 1
"peace officer" to include local fire marshals, deputy fire marshals and 2
fire inspectors. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To recognize local fire marshals, deputy fire marshals and fire inspectors
as peace officers.
