AN ACT CONCERNING THE RECRUITMENT OF MALE TEACHERS IN
EARLY CHILDHOOD AND ELEMENTARY EDUCATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 10 of the general statutes be amended to provide incentives 1
for educator preparation programs in the state to actively recruit male 2
teaching candidates in high-need areas, such as early childhood and 3
elementary education. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To encourage educator preparation programs to recruit male teachers in
high-need areas through outreach initiatives, partnerships and
mentorship opportunities.
