AN ACT CONCERNING THE ASSIGNMENT OF SASID NUMBERS AT
BIRTH.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require that a state-assigned 1
student identifier number be assigned to each child born in the state. 2
Statement of Purpose:
To assign a state-assigned student identifier number to each child born
in Connecticut to enable data analyses of a child's developmental
growth over time and to assist children who may have developmental
delays but are ineligible for services.
