AN ACT REQUIRING THE POLICE OFFICER STANDARDS AND
TRAINING COUNCIL TO BE WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF
EMERGENCY SERVICES AND PUBLIC PROTECTION FOR
ADMINISTRATIVE PURPOSES ONLY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 7-294b of the general statutes be amended to provide that 1
the Police Officer Standards and Training Council shall be within the 2
Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection for 3
administrative purposes only. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To provide the Police Officer Standards and Training Council with
independent authority and avoid any conflict of interest.
