23 | 23 | That section 2-8 of the general statutes be amended to provide that 1 | |
24 | 24 | (1) no legislator shall be paid a salary in any fiscal year unless a budget 2 | |
25 | 25 | for such fiscal year is enacted; and (2) if the budget for a fiscal year is 3 | |
26 | 26 | enacted on or after the first day of such fiscal year, each legislator's 4 | |
27 | 27 | salary and benefits during such fiscal year shall be reduced in 5 | |
28 | 28 | proportion to the number of days that elapse before such budget is 6 | |
