AN ACT CONCERNING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A MATCHING
GRANT PROGRAM FOR THE HIRING OF SPECIAL EDUCATION
TEACHERS AND PARAEDUCATORS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 10 of the general statutes be amended to establish a 1
matching grant program for local and regional boards of education to 2
hire additional special education teachers and paraeducators. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To increase the number of special education teachers and paraeducators
so that students receive more specialized instruction and the caseload
for such special education educators is reduced.
