AN ACT CONCERNING ENTICEMENT OF A JUVENILE TO COMMIT A CRIMINAL ACT. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 53a-225 of the general statutes be amended to lower the 1 age of eligibility from twenty-three to eighteen years of age for the 2 offense of enticing a juvenile to commit a criminal act, and to increase 3 the penalty from a class A misdemeanor to a class D felony for a first 4 offense and from a class D felony to a class C felony for any second or 5 subsequent offense. 6 Statement of Purpose: To increase the penalty for an adult who entices a juvenile to commit a criminal act.
