2525 AN ACT CONCERNING ENTICEMENT OF A JUVENILE TO COMMIT A

2727 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

3030 That section 53a-225 of the general statutes be amended to lower the 1
3131 age of eligibility from twenty-three to eighteen years of age for the 2
3232 offense of enticing a juvenile to commit a criminal act, and to increase 3
3333 the penalty from a class A misdemeanor to a class D felony for a first 4
3434 offense and from a class D felony to a class C felony for any second or 5
3535 subsequent offense. 6
3636 Statement of Purpose:
3737 To increase the penalty for an adult who entices a juvenile to commit a
3838 criminal act.
