AN ACT ELIMINATING THE REQUIREMENT FOR A CERTIFICATE OF
NEED FOR THE EXPANSION OF HEALTH CARE SERVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to eliminate the requirement 1
for a certificate of need for the expansion of health care services. 2
Statement of Purpose:
To facilitate improved health care delivery and reduce health care costs
by easing the ability of health care providers to increase the supply of
health care services.
