AN ACT CONCERNING RENT INCREASES IN MOBILE 
MANUFACTURED HOME PARKS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That chapter 412 of the general statutes be amended to (1) require the 1 
owner of a mobile manufactured home park to provide written 2 
notification of any rent increase to any resident of such mobile 3 
manufactured home park, (2) allow a majority of affected residents of 4 
such mobile manufactured home park to file a written petition to 5 
dispute the amount of such rent increase and have a mediator appointed 6 
to attempt to resolve the dispute, and (3) if the parties are unable to 7 
resolve the dispute, allow a majority of affected residents of such mobile 8 
manufactured home park to file a complaint in the superior court of 9 
appropriate jurisdiction. 10 
Statement of Purpose:   
To prevent excessive rent increases in mobile manufactured home parks 
and allow residents to dispute such rent increases.
