AN ACT CONCERNING THE ENTICEMENT OF MINORS TO COMMIT 
CRIMINAL ACTS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That section 53a-225 of the general statutes be amended to (1) lower 1 
the age of culpability from twenty-three to eighteen years of age or older 2 
for the offense of enticing a juvenile to commit a criminal act, and (2) 3 
increase the penalty from a class A misdemeanor to a class D felony for 4 
a first offense and from a class D felony to a class C felony for any second 5 
or subsequent offense. 6 
Statement of Purpose:   
To further prevent enticing a minor to commit a criminal act and 
strengthen penalties for committing such acts.
