AN ACT CONCERNING CRIMINAL NETWORKS ENGAGING IN THE
THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLES AND OTHER PROPERTY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit criminal networks 1
that include a person eighteen years of age or older acting as an 2
organizer of the network who conspires with others, including a person 3
seventeen years of age or younger, to engage in a course of conduct to 4
unlawfully take or dispose of a motor vehicle or other property, with 5
the first offense being a class C felony and the second or subsequent 6
offense a class B felony. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To deter car thefts and deter engaging juveniles in car thefts.
