AN ACT REQUIRING A ONE -THIRD STATE SUBSIDY FOR RETIRED
TEACHERS' HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 167a of the general statutes be amended to require that 1
the state pay a one-third subsidy toward the cost of retired teachers' 2
Medicare supplement health insurance coverage. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To provide a one-third state subsidy for the cost of teachers' Medicare
supplement health insurance, which would treat all plans equitably.
