87	87	AN ACT CONCERNING FUNDING FOR SCHOOL MEALS.
88	88	Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
89	89	Assembly convened:

91	91	That the sum of ____ dollars be appropriated to the Department of 1
92	92	Education, from the General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2
93	93	2026, to provide (1) breakfasts to students at no cost at schools 3
94	94	participating in the school breakfast program, and (2) lunch to students, 4
95	95	who are eligible for reduced-price meals, at no cost at schools 5
96	96	participating in the school lunch program. 6
97	97	Statement of Purpose:
98	98	To provide funding to reimburse school districts for the difference
99	99	between the federal reimbursement rate for reduced-price and fully
100	100	paid school meals.
