8787 AN ACT CONCERNING FUNDING FOR SCHOOL MEALS.
8888 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
8989 Assembly convened:

9191 That the sum of ____ dollars be appropriated to the Department of 1
9292 Education, from the General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2
9393 2026, to provide (1) breakfasts to students at no cost at schools 3
9494 participating in the school breakfast program, and (2) lunch to students, 4
9595 who are eligible for reduced-price meals, at no cost at schools 5
9696 participating in the school lunch program. 6
9797 Statement of Purpose:
9898 To provide funding to reimburse school districts for the difference
9999 between the federal reimbursement rate for reduced-price and fully
100100 paid school meals.
