AN ACT ALLOWING TEACHERS TO COMMUNICATE WITH PARENTS
CONCERNING A STUDENT'S GENDER IDENTITY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit any local or regional 1
board of education or school administrator from preventing a teacher 2
from telling a parent that the gender identity of such parent's child 3
differs from such child's sex assigned at birth. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To allow a teacher to tell a parent that the gender identity of such
parent's child differs from such child's sex assigned at birth.
