2626 AN ACT CONCERNING BIPARTISAN SUPPORT FOR ELECTIONS -
2727 RELATED LEGISLATION.
2828 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2929 Assembly convened:

3131 That the general statutes be amended to (1) establish a Bipartisan 1
3232 Legislative Commission on Elections, and (2) provide that, in order to 2
3333 be enacted, any legislation affecting elections shall (A) be submitted to 3
3434 and approved by said commission prior to a vote by a chamber of the 4
3535 General Assembly, or (B) receive an affirmative vote of two-thirds of the 5
3636 membership of each chamber of the General Assembly. 6
3737 Statement of Purpose:
3838 To ensure that elections-related legislation receives support from both
3939 major political parties prior to its enactment.
