| 21 | 21 | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General | |

| 24 | 24 | That the general statutes be amended to (1) provide that, prior to 1 | |
| 25 | 25 | receiving and being able to cast a ballot at the polling place, each elector 2 | |
| 26 | 26 | shall present to the official checker or checkers a current and valid 3 | |
| 27 | 27 | government-issued photo identification, which identification clearly 4 | |
| 28 | 28 | displays such elector's name and residential address; and (2) establish a 5 | |
| 29 | 29 | program for waiving the fee associated with obtaining, for voting 6 | |
| 30 | 30 | purposes, a motor vehicle operator's license, identity card or other 7 | |
