AN ACT PROHIBITING THE DISCLOSURE OF THE NAME AND RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS OF LOTTERY WINNERS UNDER THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That sections 12-810 and 12-863 of the general statutes be amended to 1 prohibit the disclosure of the name and residential address of any 2 person claiming a winning lottery ticket under the Freedom of 3 Information Act. 4 Statement of Purpose: To protect lottery winners from harassment by prohibiting the disclosure of their name and residential address under the Freedom of Information Act.
