| 18 | 18 | | AN ACT CONCERNING USED MOTOR VEHICLE TIRE SALES. |

| 19 | 19 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General |

| 22 | 22 | | That the general statutes be amended to (1) provide that the 1 |

| 23 | 23 | | Department of Consumer Protection shall develop a standardized form 2 |

| 24 | 24 | | in order to enable a used motor vehicle tire seller to disclose to a 3 |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | consumer whether a used motor vehicle tire has been repaired, (2) 4 |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | require each used motor vehicle tire seller to (A) mark with a red sticker 5 |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | each nonrepaired used motor vehicle tire such seller offers for sale to 6 |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | consumers, (B) mark with a green sticker each repaired used motor 7 |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | vehicle tire such seller offers for sale to consumers, and (C) provide a 8 |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | repair disclosure to each consumer on the standardized form developed 9 |

| 31 | 31 | | by the department, and (3) establish fines for, and authorize the 10 |

| 32 | 32 | | department to take enforcement action against, a used motor vehicle tire 11 |
