AN ACT MAKING THE LOCATION OF SEXUAL ASSAULT AND
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CENTERS AND ASSOCIATED FACILITIES
CONFIDENTIAL UNDER THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 14 of the general statutes be amended to (1) exempt from 1
disclosure under said chapter the address of any center for sexual 2
assault and domestic violence victims and confidential associated 3
facilities, and (2) require any discussions of a public agency at a meeting 4
concerning such center or facilities to be held in executive session. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To protect the safety of sexual assault and domestic violence victims by
restricting public access to the location of the centers and associated
facilities that serve such victims.
