AN ACT CONCERNING MEDICAID COVERAGE OF NONINVASIVE,
CUSTOM BREAST PROSTHESES FOR MASTECTOMY PATIENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require Medicaid 1
coverage of noninvasive, custom breast prostheses for mastectomy 2
patients to enhance their comfort and reduce negative side effects. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To enhance, modernize and improve options for mastectomy patients
whose care is covered by Medicaid.
