AN ACT CONCERNING CASH PAYMENT FOR SERVICES AND FEES RELATED TO HEALTH CARE FUNDED UNDER THE STATE MEDICAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require that 1 providers funded under the state medical assistance program accept 2 cash for health care services and related fees, including, but not limited 3 to, parking fees and provide change up to fifty dollars. 4 Statement of Purpose: To mitigate the effects on persons without a credit card of prohibiting the use of cash to pay for treatment and related services by providers who receive payment from the state medical assistance program.
