2020 AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF "SAFETY NET" HUSKY DENTAL
2121 PROVIDERS.
2222 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2323 Assembly convened:

2525 That the Commissioner of Social Services be required to (1) evaluate 1
2626 and determine the need to define and recognize "Safety Net HUSKY 2
2727 dental providers" in the HUSKY Health program, (2) identify and 3
2828 establish criteria for qualifying as a Safety Net HUSKY dental provider, 4
2929 (3) evaluate the potential impact of recognizing Safety Net HUSKY 5
3030 dental providers on access to dental services for HUSKY Health 6
3131 program enrollees, (4) assess the financial implications of establishing 7
3232 and reimbursing Safety Net HUSKY dental providers, (5) solicit 8
3333 feedback and recommendations from stakeholders regarding the 9
3434 creation of a distinct provider category for such providers, and (6) file a 10
3535 report with recommendations not later than January 1, 2026, with the 11
3636 joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of 12
