AN ACT CONCERNING PRESCRIPTION DRUG DISCOUNT
TRANSPARENCY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require pharmacy benefit 1
managers, pharmacies, insurers and hospitals that dispense, prescribe 2
or provide coverage for prescription drugs discounted under Section 3
340B of the Public Health Service Act to file a report with the Office of 4
Health Strategy on the cost charged to a consumer for any such 5
discounted drug. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure consumers are getting the benefit of drug discounts and not
overpaying or being prematurely enrolled in Medicaid under rules
deducting costs spent on prescription drugs from income.
