AN ACT CONCERNING IMPROVING COORDINATION AND
COOPERATION BETWEEN FOOD PANTRIES AND HOMELESS
SHELTERS TO IMPROVE ACCESS TO FOOD AND RESOURCES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 17b-790c of the general statutes be amended to expand 1
the duties of the food and nutrition policy analyst at the Commission on 2
Women, Children, Seniors, Equity and Opportunity to include 3
promoting the coordination and cooperation between food banks and 4
homeless shelters in the state to improve access to food and resources 5
for needy residents. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To improve coordination between food pantries and homeless shelters
in the state to ensure adequate access to food and resources for needy
residents.
