| 23 | 23 | That the general statutes be amended to provide incentives for 1 | |
| 24 | 24 | developers to convert commercial buildings to mixed -use 2 | |
| 25 | 25 | developments, with such incentives to include, but not be limited to: (1) 3 | |
| 26 | 26 | Waiving parking requirements for such conversion in transit-oriented 4 | |
| 27 | 27 | development zones, (2) allowing phased compliance and alternative 5 | |
| 28 | 28 | paths for meeting energy standards for older construction and 6 | |
| 29 | 29 | expediting environmental review for such conversion, (3) offering 7 | |
| 30 | 30 | guidance to municipalities on such conversion, and (4) requiring that 8 | |
| 31 | 31 | each such conversion be included in the calculation of the threshold for 9 | |
| 32 | 32 | exemption from the affordable housing appeals procedure. 10 | |
