1818 AN ACT PROVIDING INCENTIVES FOR CONVERSION OF
1919 COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS TO MIXED-USE DEVELOPMENTS.
2020 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2121 Assembly convened:

2323 That the general statutes be amended to provide incentives for 1
2424 developers to convert commercial buildings to mixed -use 2
2525 developments, with such incentives to include, but not be limited to: (1) 3
2626 Waiving parking requirements for such conversion in transit-oriented 4
2727 development zones, (2) allowing phased compliance and alternative 5
2828 paths for meeting energy standards for older construction and 6
2929 expediting environmental review for such conversion, (3) offering 7
3030 guidance to municipalities on such conversion, and (4) requiring that 8
3131 each such conversion be included in the calculation of the threshold for 9
3232 exemption from the affordable housing appeals procedure. 10
