AN ACT CONCERNING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A CASE - TRACKING SYSTEM FOR DIVORCE PROCEEDINGS INVOLVING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That chapter 815 of the general statutes be amended to require the 1 Chief Court Administrator to establish a case-tracking system in a 2 divorce proceeding that includes a documented history of domestic 3 violence that: (1) Identifies both perpetrators and victims of domestic 4 violence in the divorce proceeding, (2) provides contextual information 5 to judges and court staff involved in such proceeding, and (3) allows an 6 advocate for domestic violence victims to be available in all parts of such 7 proceeding to assist the court and the victim of domestic violence. 8 Statement of Purpose: To strengthen court supports for a victim of domestic violence who is involved in a divorce proceeding.
