AN ACT CREATING EDUCATION SAVINGS ACCOUNTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to create education savings 1
accounts in which the funds that would have been allocated to the 2
school district in which a student resides is deposited into such account 3
for the purpose of allowing the parents or guardians of such student to 4
choose an education program outside of such school district, and to 5
establish financial and accountability standards for such education 6
savings accounts to ensure student safety and safeguard state funds. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To create education savings accounts.
