AN ACT CONCERNING THE PARTICIPATION OF HOME -SCHOOLED
STUDENTS IN EXTRACURRICULAR AND ATHLETIC ACTIVITIES
OFFERED BY SCHOOL DISTRICTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 170 of the general statutes be amended to require a local 1
or regional board of education to permit children who are home-2
schooled and who reside in the town of the school district of such board 3
to participate in extracurricular activities and interscholastic and 4
intramural athletics offered at a school under the jurisdiction of such 5
board. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To allow home-schooled children to participate in school extracurricular
activities and interscholastic and intramural athletics.
