AN ACT AUTHORIZING REGIONAL SOLID WASTE AGREEMENTS
FOR MUNICIPALITIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to authorize regional solid 1
waste management and recycling agreements which allow 2
municipalities to collaborate, enhance technology uses and reduce costs. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To lower the cost of solid waste management for municipalities and
avoid costly out-of-state shipments of municipal solid waste to landfills.
