AN ACT AUTHORIZING CERTAIN MUNICIPAL FINES FOR
DISCARDING TIRES IN WATERWAYS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to authorize towns to impose 1
fines of up to five hundred dollars for discarding tires in a public 2
waterway, which fine shall be deposited into a fund controlled by the 3
town and used by the town for environmental purposes. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To prevent the degrading of waterways, protect fish and promote
human health.
