AN ACT ESTABLISHING A FEE ON RETAIL DELIVERY SERVICE TO
FUND BUS PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION FARE REDUCTIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 12 of the general statutes be amended to (1) establish a 1
twenty-five-cent fee on the retail delivery of a product by a motor 2
vehicle from a business with more than one million dollars in sales, and 3
(2) direct the revenue from such fee to reducing the fare for bus public 4
transportation in the state. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To establish a fee on certain retail deliveries and dedicate the revenue
from such fee to reducing the fare for bus public transportation.
