AN ACT CONCERNING UNLAWFUL DISCHARGE OF A FIREARM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 53-203 of the general statutes be amended to (1) include 1
the reckless discharge of a firearm as a violation of that section, and (2) 2
allow for the intentional discharge of a firearm for the purposes of 3
lawful self-defense. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To protect and clarify the right to use a firearm in self-defense.
