AN ACT RAISING THE MINIMUM AGE FOR ARREST. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 46b of the general statutes be amended to raise the 1 minimum age of juvenile court jurisdiction from ten to twelve years of 2 age, effective July 1, 2026, and from twelve to fourteen years, effective 3 July 1, 2028. 4 Statement of Purpose: To raise the minimum age of arrest from ten to fourteen years of age.
