| 23 | 23 | That section 8-3 of the general statutes be amended to specify that if 1 | |
| 24 | 24 | a protest against a proposed change to zoning regulations or boundaries 2 | |
| 25 | 25 | is filed, it shall be signed by the owners of fifty per cent or more of the 3 | |
| 26 | 26 | area of the lots included in such proposed change or the lots within five 4 | |
| 27 | 27 | hundred feet of the subject property and such proposed change shall not 5 | |
| 28 | 28 | be adopted except by a majority vote of the members of the municipal 6 | |
| 29 | 29 | zoning commission. 7 | |
