23 | 23 | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General | |

26 | 26 | That the general statutes be amended to require (1) the Department 1 | |
27 | 27 | of Revenue Services to establish a state-wide registry of short-term 2 | |
28 | 28 | rentals in the state, and (2) the owner of a short-term rental unit to 3 | |
29 | 29 | register with such registry and pay a tax on any such unit that is not 4 | |
30 | 30 | owner-occupied, provided the revenue from such tax be distributed as 5 | |
31 | 31 | follows: Fifty per cent to municipalities, twenty-five per cent to the state 6 | |
32 | 32 | to be provided to community action agencies for housing support 7 | |
33 | 33 | initiatives and twenty-five per cent to the Time to Own program. 8 | |
