AN ACT CONCERNING COMMUTATIONS OF SENTENCES OF
VIOLENT OFFENDERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 54 of the general statutes be amended to revise the policy 1
concerning commutation of sentences of violent offenders in order to 2
ensure victims and their families are notified and provided an 3
opportunity to participate in the commutation process. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To revise the policy concerning commutation of sentences of violent
offenders in order to ensure victims and their families are notified and
provided an opportunity to participate in the commutation process.
